Milwaukee Cordless Cable Stripper Available in M12 or M18 Flavors

Apr 29, 2024

In yet another example of making your job safer and more productive, Milwaukee has announced the release of two new cordless cable strippers. The M12 and M18 cable strippers are designed to keep your digits safe from stabs and scrapes on the job. And with the layout of the tool’s design, electricians on either system will be able to access and strip cables in crowded panels easily.

How much does Milwaukee love thee? Let us count the ways. One: Milwaukee cordless cable stripper models have no exposed blades to get in a disagreement with your fingers.

When removing the outer jacket on a wire, your hands are exposed and vulnerable with your standard cable stripper. Milwaukee does away with this potential injurious situation with their quick-change bushing system.

Sticking the cutting blades where you can’t hurt yourself can only be a good thing. Milwaukee’s bushing design also has the added benefit of preventing nicks to the wires.

This system also excels when you run into larger or smaller wire gauges. You simply unlock the current bushing, replace it with the correct size, and lock the new bushing into place. Bingo, bango, bongo, you’re ready for more stripping.

Milwaukee has 3 different kits available. On either the M18 or M12 platform, you can select a kit for:

Separate bushing kits are also available:

Two: the new Milwaukee cordless cable stripper models feature a right-angle design and a compact head. This design lets you get into those crowded panels and switch gears easily. Where you were once stuck having to awkwardly jockey for position, now you can slide your stripper into the place you actually need them.

The M12 strippers have an overall head length of 8.46″, while the M18 only measures in at 8.36″

Plus, neither Milwaukee cordless cable stripper actually weighs all that much. The M12 weighs in at 3.65 pounds, while the M18 model will only tack on an extra .2 pounds. Those are bare tool weights and the battery you choose will add to them.

Three: an internal depth gauge lets you dial in the right amount of jacket to strip. The tools revolve their cutters down the cable and strip off the outer jacket, stopping at the correct measurement you set via the depth plunger at the back.

You get the assurance of controlled, accurate wire strips up to 3 inches, and furthermore, you won’t have to deal with any of those pesky jacket jams.
